Optimalisasi Biaya Pengiriman Menggunakan Metode NWC, Least Cost dan VAM Dengan Software POM-QM Pada Bagian Logistik PT GOTRANS LOGISTIK INTERNATIONAL

PT Gotrans Logitik International merupakan perusahaan yang menangani warehouse dan distribusi seluruh Indonesia. Dalam pengiriman biaya distribusi yang dikeluarkan cukup besar, sehingga perusahaan merencanakan optimasi biaya pendistribusian untuk mencapai efisiensi biaya transportasi. Memecahakan suatu masalah optimasi biaya dalam perusahaan ini menggunakan metode North West Corner (NWC), metode Least Cost dan metode Vogel’s Approximation (VAM), kemudian menggunakan Software POM QM untuk menguji keoptimalan biaya distribusinya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan hasil yang lebih optimal sebagai bahan pertimbangan awal untuk meningkatkan penghematan biaya distribusi pada Perusahaan. Biaya yang dikeluarkan oleh perusahaan untuk menyuplai ke tiga distributor sebelum penelitian sebesar Rp.53.500.000 dengan budget sebesar Rp. 53.000.000. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa penerapan metode transportasi dengan menggunakan metode North West Corner (NWC), metode Least Cost dan metode Vogel’s Approximation (VAM), dengan Software POM QM biaya penditribusian yang optimal dengan metode transportasi sebesar Rp 52.100.000, sehingga dengan menggunakan model transportasi dapat menghemat biaya pendistribusian sebesar Rp 1.400.000 dan metode North West Corner (NWC) yang memiliki jarak tempuh terdekat sebesar 770 km. Dari hasil perbandingan tersebut metode North West Corner (NWC) yang digunakan oleh peneliti dapat diterapkaan pada perusahaan PT Gotrans Logistik International.

Abstract

PT Gotrans Logitik International is a company that handles warehouses and distribution throughout Indonesia. In shipping the distribution costs incurred are quite large, so the company plans to optimize the distribution costs to achieve efficient transportation costs. Solve a cost optimization problem in this company using the North West Corner (NWC) method, the Least Cost method and the Vogel’s Approximation (VAM) method, then use the QM POM Software to test the optimal distribution costs. The purpose of this study is to obtain more optimal results as initial consideration for increasing distribution cost savings in the company. Costs incurred by the company to supply to three distributors before the study amounted to Rp.53,500,000 with a budget of Rp. 53,000,000. The results of this study were obtained that the application of the transportation method using the North West Corner (NWC) method, the Least Cost method and the Vogel's Approximation (VAM) method, with the POM QM Software optimal distribution costs with the transportation method of Rp. 52,100,000, so using the model transportation can save the cost of distribution of Rp 1,400,000 and the North West Corner (NWC) method which has the closest mileage of 770 km. From the results of the comparison the North West Corner (NWC) method used by researchers can be applied to the company PT Gotrans Logistik International.
