Author Guidelines

Preparation of Manuscripts

Authors should carefully prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the following instructions: (1) All manuscripts should be prepared according to the Publication Manual of the IEEE references guide; (2) Manuscripts should be as concise as possible, yet sufficiently detailed to permit adequate communication and critical review; and; (3) Tables and figures should be used only when essential.

Before you submit the manuscript, please read carefully and following the information: (1) The manuscript was the result of your own works (original – not plagiarism) and never been published in another journal; (2) The article written in English or Bahasa. Abstract and Keywords clear written in English, and; (3) Manuscript file must be digital. We suggest for use software Microsoft Office (2010 or above) with extension document (.rtf, .doc, or .docx).


General Structure of the Manuscript


BAIET only Published an Original Article. Short Survey, and Editorial. The Original Articles and Short Survey on BAIET are subdivided into the following general sections: Title, Authors and Affiliation, Abstract, Introduction, Method, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments, and References.


We encourage authors to pay more attention to the preparation of the manuscript by following  IEEE references guide.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
 

Copyright Notice

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under Universitas Indraprasta PGRI Jakarta that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.

  2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the bulletin's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this bulletin.

  3. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work

BAIET is committed to ensure the publication process follows specific academic ethics. Hence, Authors, Reviewers and Editors are required to conform to standards of ethical guidelines.

Authors

Authors should discuss objectively the significance of research work, technical detail and relevant references to enable others to replicate the experiments. BAIET do not accept fraudulent or inaccurate statements that may constitute towards unethical conduct. Authors should ensure the originality of their works. In cases where the work and/or words of others have been used, appropriate acknowledgements should be made. BAIET do not accept plagiarism in all forms that constitute towards unethical publishing of an article. This includes simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to more than one journal. Corresponding author is responsible for the full consensus of all co-authors in approving the final version of the paper and its submission for publication.

Reviewers

BAIET treats manuscripts received for review as confidential documents. Therefore, Reviewers must ensure the confidentiality and should not use privileged information and/or ideas obtained through peer review for personal advantage. Reviews should be conducted based on academic merit and observations should be formulated clearly with supporting arguments. In cases where selected Reviewer feels unqualified to review a manuscript, Reviewer should notify the editor and excuse himself from the review process in TWO (2) weeks time from the review offer is made. In any reasonable circumstances, Reviewers should not consider to evaluate manuscripts if they have conflicts of interest (i.e: competitive, collaborative and/or other connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions affiliated to the papers).

Editors

Editors should evaluate manuscripts exclusively based on their academic merit. BAIET strictly do not allow editors to use unpublished information of authors’ without the written consent of the author. Editors are required to take appropriate responsive actions if ethical complaints have been presented concerning a submitted manuscript or published paper.
