Author Guidelines

Preparation of manuscripts

Authors should carefully prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the following instructions: (1) All manuscripts should be prepared according to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association 6th ed. (American Psychological Association [APA], 2010); (2) Manuscripts should be as concise as possible, yet sufficiently detailed to permit adequate communication and critical review; and; (3) Tables and figures should be used only when essential.

 General informations:

  1. Manuscripts between 4000-6000 words in length (including bibliography, notes, and tables/graphs).
  2. Manuscripts has never been published in other journals and/or is not currently under review in other journals.
  3. Each manuscript will be given a plagiarism test.
  4. Manuscripts can be arranged in Indonesian or English.

Accepted manuscripts contain the following components:

  1. Title: Maximum 15 words, capitalized only at the beginning of the title, bold, right aligned, font size 16 Baskerville.
  2. Author's Name: The author's name is written in full (without abbreviations and without a title) in Palatino Linotype font size 12, in bold. Under the name please include the institution and the author's email address.
  3. Abstract: No more than 150 words, written in Indonesian and English in one paragraph and single spacing. Describe the main points in the research such as the background, purpose or focus of the research, the level of novelty of the research, research methods, results and conclusions of the research. Abstract written in Palatino Linotype font size 9.5.
  4. Keywords: Maximum 5 words, separated by a comma (,), placed two spaces below the abstract, written in Palatino Linotype font size 9.5, single spaced, and italicized.
  5. Introduction: Contains the background explained based on the results of previous recent research. At least five references that show the level of novelty (last 10 years). The introduction explains how to solve a problem, the urgency and rationalization of research, literature review, problem-solving plans, and hypothesis development, analysis of gaps in expectations and reality, renewal of knowledge, as well as primary source references. The introduction closes with the research objectives and hypotheses (for quantitative research). The introductory description is printed normally in Palatino Linotype font size 11.
  6. Method: The method describes: approach, research variable or focus, operational definition of each variable/description of research focus, place, population and sample/informant, research instruments, and data analysis techniques (typed in Palatino Linotype font size 11, normal). We encourage authors to pay more attention to the preparation of the manuscript by following APA Style Journal Article Reporting Standards (APA Style JARS).
  7. Results and Discussion: The findings are presented in full and are related to the predetermined research scope. Findings can be supplemented by tables, graphs, and/or charts. Tables and figures are numbered and titled. The results of data analysis are properly described in the article. The discussion section logically describes the findings, related to relevant sources.   8. Conclusion: The conclusion contains a brief summary of the findings and discussion. Conclusions are findings in research that have answers to research questions or research objectives. Research findings provide suggestions or contributions to application and/or study development. [Palatino Linotype, 11, normal].
  9. Acknowledgement (optional)
  10. References: Minimum of 10-15 sources with 85% of primary literature coming from scientific journals (last 10 years). References written according to the APA (American Psychological Association) 6th edition style. The references shall be ordered based on alphabetical and chronological order. We recommend to use reference manager application such as MendeleyEnd Note, or Zotero

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided
  4. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal. Please download template of this journal

Authors are not required to pay an Article Submission Fee.

Fast-Track Review: 225000.00 (IDR)

With payment of this fee, reviews, editorial decisions, and author notification of this manuscript are guaranteed to take place within four (4) weeks.

 

Article Publication: 100000.00 (IDR)

If this paper is accepted for publication, you will be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publications costs.

The fee covers DOI registration for each paper. However, The  Article Publication Fee will not apply for a paper with authors from two different countries or more.

If you do not have funds to pay such fees, you will have an opportunity to waive each fee. We do not want fees to prevent the publication of worthy work.
